Did I ever mention what a crazy month June was going to be for us? I used that time to take a break from blogging and believe me, I missed it. Ya know the saying, absence makes the heart grow fonder, well that is true in my case. Before I decided to take a little hiatus, I just was'nt feelin' it. My heart was'nt in it. But now I feel refreshed and ready to blog!!! I have so much catching up to do on all of your blogs as well. I did check in on you all a couple of times, but did'nt take the time to leave a comment on each one. But just know that I missed my blogging friends! ALOT!!!!! Ok, so now I want to tell you that we just returned from Dallas Texas where we spent the last week with my husbands oldest brother Todd and his girls. That Texas heat is almost unbearable. Praise the Lord he had a pool which is where we spent most of our days. I did however learn the hard way on the 4th that the heat and wine don't mix very well.:) We spent most days relaxing by the pool with no plans BUT, we did have one thing planned that we absolutely could NOT leave Dallas without seeing. And if you remember, my little Sawyer is a HUGE Cowboys fan, so we of course had to tour the new Dallas Stadium! Let me just start by saying, No expense was spared in this place!
Sawyer waiting to go inside, wearing his coveted Tony Romo jersey. He was so sure that we would see him! Isn't that cute????
Our tour guide told us that this jumbo tron was literally the biggest in the world. AND the Jonas Brothers held a concert there and before the concert, they played Halo on it. Both of my boys jaws dropped, (as well as my husbands) because that apparantly would be AWESOME!!!!
There is still some work to be done and the field is'nt down yet.
There are pictures similar to these in each of the elevators.
This is a room that you are only allowed to enter if you purchase a certain type of ticket. It was gorgeous!
They allowed us to go into one of the suites that can be purchased. This is how the other half lives! It was also gorgeous! Clay sitting at the bar, wishing we were the "other half"!
Sawyer standing in the Cowboys locker room! There was still a little more work being done in there. I told him to envision in his mind which locker will be his someday. Did I mention he thinks he will play for the Cowboys? I tell him " go for it buddy, dream big!"
I love this Cowboys star light. This is where the players will enter and exit the field.
My hubby Tork with my boys and my nieces Talon and Tori. We took soooo many more pics cause Sawyer did'nt want to miss a thing, but obviously could'nt show them all. I think the only thing better would be to actually get to go to a game! Oh, I forgot to mention that Sawyer told us that when he plays for the Cowboys, he will buy us one of the suites to watch the games! Hey, if that ever comes true, all of you girls WILL be invited! :)
