In yesterdays post, I mentioned how there was construction going on right in front of our store. I also mentioned that parking was tricky but there was still access to the store, but today that is not the case. There is very limited access and some major work going on. We decided to be closed today due to all the chaos of the construction. This will all be going on for a few weeks, so if you are from out of town, I would encourage you to call before making the trip. We apologize for the inconvience but it will be over soon and we will be back to normal. Our number again is 319-653-5303 or you can email me at www.backyardtricia@hotmail.com . Thanks for your understanding and I hope you have a great weekend!

HUGE SALE..........
Make way for market sale.......
50% off storewide
All decor, tees, bags, jewlery, journals!
this sale excludes candles
We are heading to market in a few weeks, and need to make room for the new goods! Things are going quickly, so hurry in!
For those of you who are not from our area, I wanted to post some pictures of the building that Backyard Candle Co. calls home. We are located in the upper level on the right.
As I type this, our city is tearing up our street and sidewalk as part of the restoration of the downtown district. We will have brick sidewalks and new lamp posts when it's all said and done. Parking right now is a little tricky, but access to our store has not been effected. If in doubt, you can call us at 319-653-5303.
You won't want to miss this sale! Hope to see you soon!

A Look Inside.......
I am kind of at a loss for words today, so I am just gonna post these pics, and let them speak for themselves. These are the pictures I took of my brother in laws home. I think its just beautiful, but keep in mind that they had seventeen extra people staying with them, so some might look a little messy.

Home At Last........
Oh, my goodness, I am so glad to be home. We had such a great time visiting my husbands brother Trent and his family, we ALWAYS do, but I am always ready to be back home. I have tons of pictures to show you of their home, and I will do that in a day or two, but I wanted to show you the front door now cause it's so cool I think and I couldn't wait. It is so inviting and I am in love with the color! We were there to help celebrate my niece Mckenna's high school graduation. She has grown into such an amazing woman. I love her dearly and I'm so proud of her.
This is right before they left for graduation and there were many tears. It's just so hard to believe she is ready to go out into this big world and make a life for herself. She is headed to New York City in the fall for college. Luckily, they only live about 2 hrs or so from the City so they can go visit often.

I do already miss them, and wish we could see eachother more often. I also need to mention that my mother in-law needs prayer, she fell while we were gone and broke her femur. (not sure of the spelling) She ended up having to have surgery and is now in a care facility in our hometown as she just couldn't come home . My father in-law will turn 90 in a couple of weeks, and couldn't take care of her. We visited her last night when we got home and I think she is having trouble adjusting and is in quite a bit of pain.
I also have to say that we flew to PA. and anyone that knows me, KNOWS that I HATE flying. I am sooo nervous the entire time. BUT, my new best friend is Xanax. I went to the Dr. before leaving and was given a prescription. I was soooo relaxed and will NEVER fly without it again. Did I mention that I love Xanax? :)
